Hello! I’m Danithza Baker, founder and lead educator
of Spanish Montessori Preschool. Originally from Peru, I
bring over 20 years of experience in early childhood education,
with a deep passion for bilingual learning, Montessori principles, and
child-centered development.
Since 2004, I have dedicated my career to creating warm,
nurturing, high-quality learning environments where
children feel safe, valued, and inspired to grow. My approach encourages independence,
curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning, all
within a rich Spanish–English immersion setting.
I hold advanced degrees in Special Education, Elementary Education, Master in
Early Intervention, and Spanish Language and Culture, along
with North Carolina Early Childhood Administration credentials and AMI
Montessori training. These qualifications allow me to
thoughtfully support each child’s unique developmental needs.
I have taught in public and private schools across North Carolina and
spent seven years supporting families through the Nurturing
Parenting and Strengthening Families programs
in several local counties.
For more than 12 years, I have proudly operated
a licensed 5-star Spanish Immersion program, where
children learn through hands-on exploration in a Montessori-inspired,
bilingual environment.
In addition, I teach Early Childhood Development at the college level,
helping prepare future educators—because strong teachers create strong
classrooms, families, and communities.
