About Me

¡Hola! I’m Danithza Baker, founder and lead educator of Spanish Montessori Preschool. Originally from Peru, I bring over two decades of experience in education, with a focus on early childhood development, special education, and Spanish language instruction. Since 2004, I have dedicated my career to helping children grow, learn, and thrive in nurturing, bilingual environments.

My Educational Background

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education – Sacred Heart University, Lima, Peru

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education – Pedagógico de Monterrico University, Lima, Peru

·       Master’s Degree in Learning and Teaching Spanish and its Culture – University of Granada, Spain

·       Master’s Degree in Early Intervention – International University Isabel I de Castilla, Barcelona, Spain

·       North Carolina Early Childhood Administration Credential – Level III

·       AMI Montessori Administrator Certificate - Assistant/Guia.

I’ve had the honor of teaching in both public and private schools across North Carolina as a preschool and Spanish teacher. For seven years, I also served as a facilitator for the Nurturing Parenting Program and the Strengthening Families Program in Buncombe, Henderson, Yancey, and Brevard counties.

For the past 12 years, I’ve operated a licensed, 5-star Spanish Immersion Family Child Care Program, where children are encouraged to explore, grow, and become confident learners in a bilingual, Montessori-inspired philosophy.

As part of my commitment to early education, I also teach Early Childhood Development at the college level—because I believe our community needs more passionate, well-prepared teachers!
